Our goal is to create meaningful interactions between tourists and locals that contribute to a greater sense of cultural understanding for everyone involved. Green Hills Ecotours uses local services as much as possible in order to support community-based economic development.
We at Green Hills Ecotours believe that tourism should have no negative impact on the environment. Our tours actually benefit the environment in a number of ways. To begin with, we teach tourists and community members about the wildlife and ecosystems of the area. Building awareness is the first step to increasing respect for the environment. Green Hills Ecotours also donates money from each of our tours to local conservation efforts. Furthermore, by giving local people business, we keep them from resorting to environmentally degrading practices such as poaching.
