Day 1: Kampala – Bwindi National Park

Your journey will start as early as 6:00 am after breakfast. Drive south westwards taking the Masaka- Mbarara road via the Switzerland of Africa – the Kigezi Highlands arriving in Bwindi in the evening. Upon arrival, you will check in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla expedition in Bwindi National Park

After breakfast and with packed lunch you will transfer to the park offices for briefing before your start the gorilla trek along the tracks in the thick forest searching for these great apes. Depending on the movement of these humble giants the trek might take between 3-8 hours before you encounter the Gorillas.

Though the walk is tedious, meeting these great apes and spending some time with them while looking deep into their expressive brown eyes, is an exciting and touching wildlife encounter that Uganda has to offer. After the Gorilla tracking experience, you will retire to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Bwindi National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park. The journey will take you to enter the park through the Ishasha sector where you will have a game drive enroute. You will be able to encounter the tree climbing Lions, Uganda Kobs, and monkeys to mention but a few.

Upon reaching Queen Elizabeth, check in at your accommodation, have lunch and proceed for a boat ride at the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. Kazinga channel connects Lakes George and Edward and the boat ride will reward you with numerous games like hippos, elephants and buffaloes at the shores not forgetting plenty of birds. Afterwards the boat experience, proceed to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early in the morning and go on an extensive early morning game drive following the most wildlife congested tracks including the Kasenyi Track. Return to your accommodation for late breakfast.

In the afternoon, proceed to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking. Kyambura is the only place in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you can see habituated chimpanzees and other types of primates including red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus, baboons and vervet monkeys.

The park is also known for its variety of avian species including various falcons, the blue-headed bee-eater and the African Finfoot. The guided nature walk in kyambura gorge gives you an opportunity to view chimpanzees and other primates such as black and white colobus, red colobus monkeys, Olive baboons as well as plenty of forest birds. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Kampala

After breakfast, check out from your accommodation and proceed to Kampala via Kasese Fort portal road arriving in the afternoon to catch your onward flight or relaxation at a hotel of your choice.End of the Safari
