EXPERIENCE RWANDA & TANZANIA – 12Days/11Nights

DAY 1: Arrival in Kigali

You will be welcomed by a guide from Green Hills Ecotours then drive to your accommodation in Kigali. If time allows you can go for Kigali city Tour. Dinner and overnight stay at Lemigo Hotel; Golf Gorilla hotel; or Mille colline hotel.

DAY2: Kigali city tour and drive to Huye for Overnight

After breakfast, we go for Kigali city tour, – including Genocide museum, before transfer to Huye/Butare. On the way we will stop for a historical tour to the Nyanza king palace and ethnographic national museum. After we check in your hotel and if time allows we can do the short tour of Butare town including the visit to the Rwanda National University. Overnight in Huye

Day3: Visit the Murambi memorial and transfer to Nyungwe foresr park

After breakfast, drive to Nyungwe forest National park and stopover on the way visit the Genocide memorial of Murambi, then after continue to Nyungwe and have an other stop to visit Canopy walk which is a nice and easy trail giving you the best views of Nyungwe forest. After this trail drive to Nyungwe lodge for overnight.

Day4: Go for Nature walk and drive to Kibuye

On this day you have option for visiting the Colobus monkeys or walk to the Isumo waterfall. Those are the easier options. Or just we can organize your visit to the tea plantation and see tea process in the Gisakura tea factory. After the nature walk go back to your lodge for refreshment and lunch then after drive to Kibuye. Stay at Cormoran Lodge on the shores of gorgeous Lake Kivu.

Day5: Take a boat to Gisenyi – Relax on Lake Kivu

After breakfast, start a tour to the Napoleon Island and proceed to Gisenyi. On the way we can stop for a coffee full experience. The process starts from crop to end on your tasting coffee just made by yourselves.After a lunch and drink our coffee continue to Gisenyi and stay to Paradi Malahide Motel or Serena Hotel.

Day6: Gisenyi city tour and drive to Musanze

After your breakfast, do Gisenyi tour, enjoy the photograph on lake kivu and both city Gisenyi and Goma; visit the community; on way t musanze stopover for pottery dance made by Pygmies and visit KIAKA for local made handcrafts then proceed to Musanze. If you are interested we can visit the Caves or just stay at th hotel relaxing. Overnight in Muhabura Hotel; Gorilla nest, Sabyinyo Lodge or Virunga lodge,(depends on your budget?)

Day7: Mountain Gorilla tracking & Nature walk

Have Breakfast in morning and drive ahead to the park headquarters with packed lunch & water for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas then proceed to track the gorillas. Time take searching for these Gentle giants ranges between 2-8hours depending on the movement of gorillas. But we will help you and try to choose for you a family that is not far.After your visit we drive to your hotel for lunch and after go to Kigali. Dinner and overnight stay at Serena Hotel or Mille colline hotel

Day8:    Fly from Kigali to Mwanza. Transfer to Rubondo Island, The impressive LakeVictoria. Stay here relaxing and enjoying the calm, beauty of Lake. The place is pure harmony and relaxation. Overnight in Rubondo Island Camp.

Day9: Rest and relaxation: On this day you have to choose option that interest you: do Game drives, fishing, nature walk, boat safaris,later  enjoy the Sunset over Lake Victoria. Overnight in Rubondo Island Camp

Day10: Fly from Rubondo to Arusha and Visit to the Maasai Cultural Village & Museum; a living museum and cultural center. Besides displaying historical and cultural items of the Maasai people, the village offers a chance to see replicas of typical huts and other buildings erected by the Maasai people. Ongoing cultural events include traditional dances, herbal medicine demonstrations and other live performances to help visitors understand the Maasai culture.You can also combine this with the visit to Lake Manyara National park on Game drive. Stay at Gibb’s Farm, Karatu

ot you can also stay in Arusha or just fly to Zanzibar later in the evening.

Option B: On this day you can: continueArusha – Zanzibar; Fly to Zanzibar. Transfer to the Beach Hotel.Casa Del Mar (BB)

Day11: visit Natural History MuseumThe Natural History Museum offers several attractions, the most startling of which probably is dedicated to the colonization of the Tanganyika area by both German and English invaders, and includes interviews with local residents about their feelings on colonization. Another collection covers local flora and fauna, and the museum also is a great place to learn about the early history of humanity, as the collection includes early tools and human remains. Stay: Rivertrees Country Inn

Option B: On this day in Zanzibar you can:  Zanzibar full day relaxing at the beach or do some optional activities.Casa Del Mar (BB)

Day12: Transfer to Kilimanjaro airport for the scheduled flight back home. End of the tour

Option B: Zanzibar – Flight: Transfer to the airport for your outbound flight.
